Then what?

It looks like Republican's are going to have a tough time this November. Now that a page has come forward claiming to have sex with Foley its not going to get much better for Hastert et al.

So let's assume congress goes back to the Democrats, what then? Pulling out of Iraq and impeaching the President would be logical first steps. That will quell some of the anger but it's not going to address the larger issues. Republicans scream about Democrats not having an alternate plan, but it's for good reason. What exactly are they going to once they are in power? Will they halt spending, lower the deficit, ratify the Kyoto treaty, trash the PATRIOT act, build our world image, fund social security, rewrite No Child Left Behind, intervene in Darfur, repopulate New Orleans, toughen gun laws, stop funding Israel, talk to the axis of evil and send Rumsfeld to Guantanamo Bay? One can only hope...
