Hi Smorg!

Thrilled the posts are back at NLs. Have really missed you guys. Here is hoping that Mochi is ok!

What I thought interesting about this was that Reid indicated that troop build up is the right thing to do.

Who to believe?

The general has never really been too on board with this whole war to begin with. I think a big reason he wasnt is he could see the direction the whole operation would go in, given the people who were really running it and making decisions- horrible, detrimental ones- the main offenders being Rumsfeld, Cheney, Feith, Wolfowitz-four of the worst people of all time who combined have total war experience of... oh wait. But what they did have was advice, on how things should be done, who should be doing what, but they essentially only put people in place who would tell them what they wanted to hear and acknowledge what they wanted them to acknowledge- yesmen, if you will. It is incredible how disorganized and arrogant these people were in orchestrating something that didnt have to go in this direction. Not like it would have been easy, but their decisions made it a whole lot worse.
