Been to the Library Lately?

Recently, a right-wing magazine published their Ten Most Harmful Books of the 19th and 20th Centuries.

In rebuttal, a progressive magazine published their version.

Anyone have any addtions? Mad magazine? TV Guide? The Anarchists' Cookbook?

For the conservative list: I find it interesting that two of Darwin's books and Nader's "Unsafe at Any Speed" get honorable mentions. The list seems to have been assembled based more on than the author than the work.

GREAT post, Shea! Interesting choices.

And in regards to Michael Moore--he is exactly as he defines himself--a dumb white male. Nowhere near the stature and intellect of people like Hitler, Darwin, or Marx.

:)

I'll definitely link to your article.

Ah well, let it be known that I am a MM fan, at least :) But all that aside, these articles show how sometimes a position is better defined by what one opposes than by what one supports.

Ain't THAT the truth! I was trying to teach my class (I teach the young adults class at church--a group of about 40) that if one properly looked at the Christian life and the way it should be lived it was more one of DO's rather than Don'ts. Unfortunately many don't see this...

Of course if the world would embrace this philosophy, most it the problems would go away.

Take care,

-Jack
