CHENEY "OFFENDED" BY HUMAN RIGHTS REPORT

Right. Dick Cheney, the man who told a senator to "go fuck himself," the man who is the closest thing to the anti-christ ever to cross the threshold of the Whitehouse, the man who is the real power behind the throne of his meat-puppet George Bush, the volatile criminal mob-boss whose vile finger is poised threateningly on the button of America's weapons of mass destruction, is offended by a report about human rights abuses at Guantanamo. And guess what group he doesn't take seriously? Amnesty International.

So far, the republican party has included on it's enemies list the United Nations, the ACLU, Amnesty International, teachers, nurses, police and fire-fighters, working-class Americans, the poor, the working poor, the elderly and the disabled. I'm sure I missed a few. They embrace corruption, crime, mass-destruction, deception and lies, and gleefully perpetrate mass-murder to further their insidious goals.

Fuck Dick Cheney. I'm offended.

The joy of comments

I stumbled upon this comment posted by a neolibs fan, wolnosc. It got me thinking so I thought I'd post on it:

"OK Mochi, first contribution to your much ballyhoooed blog. Problem is that you have the same old tired comments from a bunch of misfits who have a lot to type, but not much to do about your "issues". Six days later and you have no new post. Are we on vacation, or are you at a loss for plagiarizing idiocy from other websites? Much has transpired in the last few days. If you want to be a heavyweight."

I love the word "ballyhooed". It makes me feel warm inside. WolnoSC makes some good points, we do we often discuss a bunch of shit without offering solutions and I do suffer occasionally from bloggers block. But I have a policy not to plagiarise idiocy. I strictly adhere to a policy of intelligent content plagiarism. I also prefer the phrase leftist extremist misfit to misfit. Misfit does not adequately identify the point of our displacement of normality from society (aka the degree of separation from Christian conservative NRA members).

This persons comment makes my argument. Without citing any examples the website and it's contributors are compartmentalized and discarded as having nothing of value to offer. I can go back and find posts that make concrete recommendations or offer ideas for solutions. I predicated the whole idea of this blog on the notion of a new liberal platform of fiscal conservatism, tempered with social compassion and a reduction in defense spending. Sure that a high level view but it's an opinion and whether it's good or bad it's open for discussion.

Yesterday Bush made the following comment about Social Security:

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda."

Karl Rove must have given him that tip.

It wasn't blind luck that police found this girl that had been buried alive, it was God. I wonder why he chose this girl while thousands of other Americans were murdered last year? He really does move in mysterious ways...

Going nuts here

I've been going through some personal issues that have made blogging a secondary priority. But I don't think there has ever been a time that I have felt less comfortable about the political atmosphere in America. The hypocrisy is at a level that I never thought possible by any government, anywhere.

The administration jumped on Newsweek for publishing a story that allegedly incited violence. Did the Abu Graib situation not do exactly the same thing? Will the photos of Saddam, that Bush claimed would never incite violence because they are "just photos", not be the same catalyst? Our country is becoming a joke and I think that's becoming apparent to more and more people, including Bush supporters.

We need checks and balances, we need some semblance of legitimacy beyond freedom and democracy. I'm tired of it and it's getting to a point where other countries are going to lead by our example. What happens when China is the world super power and starts forcing their foreign policy down other country's throats? Who will be the first country to cry when citizens are being routinely tortured based on the probability of them having relationships with "people of interest"?

We are funding an administration that lies, sanctions torture, doesn't believe in science, bullies allies, destroys enemies, promotes theocracy and legislates against its most impoverished citizens.

Mental President-al

Remember back when George Bush ridiculed senior citizens? (mpg, takes a minute or two to load)

Faulty memory? Maybe, but we haven't forgotten about his mental issues. Sure, they may have faded from public concern, especially given the Bush administration's penchant for bribing news agencies to be, shall we say, selective in their approach. But we who are constantly amazed never forget, do we?

Bush Taking Anti-Depressants to Control Mood Swings

President George W. Bush is taking anti-depressant drugs to control his erratic behavior, depression and paranoia... the prescription drugs... can impair the President’s mental faculties and decrease both his physical capabilities and his ability to respond to a crisis... [the White House physician] prescribed the anti-depressants after a clearly-upset Bush stormed off stage on July 8, refusing to answer reporters' questions about his relationship with indicted Enron executive Kenneth J. Lay.

“Keep those motherfuckers away from me,” he screamed at an aide backstage. “If you can’t, I’ll find someone who can.”

Capitol Hill Blue first reported on June 4 about increasing concern among White House aides over the President’s wide mood swings and obscene outbursts... prominent George Washington University psychiatrist Dr. Justin Frank... diagnosed the President as a “paranoid meglomaniac” and “untreated alcoholic” whose “lifelong streak of sadism, ranging from childhood pranks (using firecrackers to explode frogs) to insulting journalists, gloating over state executions and pumping his hand gleefully before the bombing of Baghdad” showcase Bush’s instabilities. “He fits the profile of a former drinker whose alcoholism has been arrested but not treated”... doctors also worry about the wisdom of giving powerful anti-depressant drugs to a person with a history of chemical dependency. Bush is an admitted alcoholic, although he never sought treatment in a formal program, and stories about his cocaine use as a younger man haunted his campaigns for Texas governor and his first campaign for President. “President Bush is an untreated alcoholic with paranoid and megalomaniac tendencies,” Dr. Frank adds.

Prominent DC Shrink Diagnoses Bush to be a Paranoid, Sadistic Meglomaniac

A new book by a prominent Washington psychoanalyst says President George W. Bush is a "paranoid meglomaniac" as well as a sadist and "untreated alcoholic."

Dr. Justin Frank... also says the President has a ""lifelong streak of sadism, ranging from childhood pranks (using firecrackers to explode frogs) to insulting journalists, gloating over state executions ... [and] pumping his fist gleefully before the bombing of Baghdad." Even worse, Dr. Frank concludes, the President's years of heavy drinking ""may have affected his brain function - and his decision to quit drinking without the help of a 12-step program [puts] him at far higher risk of relapse."

Other findings by Dr. Frank: The President suffers from "character pathology," including "grandiosity" and "megalomania" -- viewing himself, America and God as interchangeable.

Give Me a Break

Hugh Hewitt, of the Weekly Standard, comes off as a total jackass in this piece on the controversies occurring at the U.S. Air Force Academy. According to Hewitt, there seems to be no reason for an investigation in the matter. He tries to whitewash over the issue, attributing the student’s claims as attacks from secularists. Never mind that the report from Americans United for Separation of Church and State came as a result of a longer chain of events:

Concerns about the religious environment on the campus first surfaced after the academy conducted a survey of staff and faculty early last year on the broader culture there. When the academy solicited further expressions of concern over religious influences, about eight people came forward with accusations of 55 specific incidents of bias spanning four years, said Lt. Col. Laurent Fox, the academy's director of public affairs.

About that time, Mikey Weinstein, an academy graduate and Reagan administration official, visited Colorado Springs and discovered that his son, a cadet, was frequently a target of slurs because he is Jewish. Mr. Weinstein took his complaints to the academy, Americans United and the news media.

Never mind that this is the second inquiry the Air Force has conducted after nearly 150 women there said they had been sexually assaulted by fellow cadets. Hewitt seems to think it can all be chalked up to Christian persecution by the mainstream media.

I don't get it.

What is it with the Republican party's obsession with Hillary Clinton? Is it really going to destroy the social fabric of the United States if a woman is voted President. This website is the latest to attack Clinton for alleged lies by a former campaign manager to the FEC. Not that this has been anyway linked to her. The website focuses on a concert given for "A" list celebrities, aka the "liberal elite".

How is this website raising money? Of course they are giving away the video of the concert in question.
