Richard Clarke Debunks Same Intelligence Myth

The operative words are "Richard Clarke." Just because an enemy of the Bush administration says something doesn't make it true. Mr. Clarke has an agenda, as does Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, et al. Moreover, a ten-minute interview on a comedy show isn't definitive proof. I take everything Clarke says with a grain of salt, and so should you.

George Bush and Dick Cheney and the smear crew dont have an agenda? God forbid they actually engage in a professional discourse for once. Of all people, they really should; these guys and their friends are the biggest cowards, after all.

Someone who talks about people losing their backbone really should make sure they didnt chickenshit their way through the conflict of their time before talking like theyre tough. Who are these guys trying to fool anyway? They are the minority now. This whole thing, on both sides, is just too ugly now.

Also, I would have have a difficult time taking seriously The Daily Show or anyone who appears on it.

In today's bizarro world of twisted psychopolitics, a comedy satire show has proven itself to be one of the best information sources we have. Strange but true.

I have as much faith in the content of the Daily Show as I do in the content of Meet the Press.

Wow, Richard Clarke. What a source. How about the Senate Intelligence Committee, you know, the one that has all the closed door sessions with the CIA so they can talk openly about intelligence? Do you think they might get the same information as the President? Of course they do. That's their purpose, oversight of our intelligence apparatus. Kerry and other democrats are on that committee, and they still agreed with Bush about Iraq. And funny, isn't it, that no Democratic politicians are claiming they didn't see the same intelligence? I could be wrong about that, but so far I've only seen Clarke making this claim.

Hey, when news breaks, the Daily Show fixes it. It gets the news out, because it is not the same boring, monotonous garbage the media spews. It's funny. And come on, they mess with EVERYBODY!

I dont know about him, but I picked up his Against All Enemies book, and it seemed like I was reading a fiction book. It was just... inappropriate. Therefore, I dont trust him. Yes, this is how I judge people. Like Mike Barnicle... inappropriate.

Oh, don't get me wrong. The Daily Show if hysterical. I love watching it. I just wouldn't use them as original source material on anything.

I forget who the guest was, but he announced his candidacy for some office on the Daily Show. Stewart looked at him and said (paraphrasing), "You know we're not a real news show right? You're going to have to make this announcement again."

Priceless.
