Flu Vaccine
With an infant in our house we tried this year to get the flu vaccine. There were clinics scheduled in our local area but a couple of weeks ago they were all cancelled. I called the state department of health and was told that they had no idea and I should try my local department of health. When I asked about getting the vaccine the woman laughed and said there was a shortage and I could try calling hospitals directly. The hospitals said without a prior patient card we couldn't receive the vaccine. If this is any indication of what's going to occur if a pandemic does start then we are all fucked. I give up.

That really is interesting, and bullshit, at the same time. How could that possibly be. Nice work and research Mochi, you make Hank Phillipi Ryan from Channel 7 news (thats our NBC affiliate in Boston) expendable. Thats a good thing, because I cant stand women investigatory journalists (apologies to Zoolander) whose name is Hank.
for the record, your report is not bullshit, I meant that not having easy access to the vaccine is bs. Dont want to be misinterpreted.
Try the health department, Mochi. They are having a hard time giving it away down here...

Maybe I'll come down there.
ha! We need good people down here, Mochi!
We're out in Cincinnati too.
Come to California. We had our daughter vaccinated for the flu without any problem. Does your child's pediatrician not have any vaccine?
It's not the child that's the issue, he's too young to be vaccinated, it's us that's the issue.
