Exit Strategy?

Bush is talking about at least 120,000 troops staying in Iraq for another 2 years. Although it's intriguing that the Pentagon is planning to attack Iran with "precision" missiles or commando raids you have to wonder how intelligent it is to attack a country when so many of your armed forces are stuck in a quagmire next door. Until now Iran hasn't proactively fed the insurgency, it's going to be a fun time if they do. If you have a chance read Hersh's New Yorker article.

I see two potential (non)exit strategies:

1: Jeb Bush in '08, no exit (perpetual war)

2: Allow democrats to win in '08, leave them with
the entire mess to clean up and let them take
the blame for any resulting failures/problems.
