But not surprising...

"We were told we weren't even allowed to bring up the topic of religion when John G. Roberts was nominated for the Supreme Court," said the Rev. Barry Lynn, executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State. "Anyone who did was quickly labeled a bigot. Now Bush and Rove are touting where Miers goes to church and using that as a selling point. The hypocrisy is staggering."

Surprising, no... yet, I am constantly amazed that their culture of hypocrisy continues to thrive!

Hi NL's!

MISSED you guys much! Took a bit of a dive healthwise, but am bouncing back. Look forward to jumping back into it with all my friends here.

Mochi, I have a lot of reading to catch up on on your site, and will get to work on it right away.

Shea, hope you are well, and keepin' the faith :)

Luna, the ghost who walks, hope things are going well for you!

Smorg, will be popping by to visit the blog--ready for some more spirited debate.

CH, the level-headed one, looking forward to more of your posts.

Cerf, where the heck are you?

Kindest regards everyone...its great to be alive!

Now, concerning the post.

Mochi, I agree. I think it was shameful of Bush to try to mollify conservatives by playing the religion card. The administration has NO clue that the conservatives could care less if she was birthed by an angel, what ticks us off is that she is an unknown with no proven track record. They don't get that. This indeed is another stab in the back by the Bush Admninistration. (It may not have been intentional, but it IS a betrayal).

Shea, the culture of hyporicy is alive and well in Washington. Also, was reading through some of our prior posts--yep, that site called me a liberal!

More to come....

Jack, whatever the health problem was, I hope you are doing well, and glad you are bouncing back. Hey, they say that red wine and dark chocolate are both beneficial for health...

Thanks, Mochi! Let's get things stirred up a bit. I answered your comment over at my site, but just want to echo it here. I don't really place you in the category you place yourself in. I would not consider you a fundamentalist liberal. :)

Shea, thanks for the kind words. I'll take your diet to heart!
