Another PR Hassle

I have to feel sorry for the administration. Cheney shooting a guy wasn't good but letting the United Arab Emirates manage our ports, that's just the worse kind of PR. It would be like giving the Japanese a shipping contract after Pearl Harbor. Two of the 9/11 hijackers were from the UAE and a proportion of the funding for the attacks came from there. When only 7% of containers are inspected by the Department of Homeland Security it seems like a time for the government to invest more in our ports not outsource management responsibilities to an Arab country that is a major reason for our current predicament.

News Alert:

BUSH THREATENS TO VETO BILL TO STOP UAE PORT DEAL

How many times have I said that Bush is a globalist/socialist?

When will NL's start believing me?

(the last said tongue-in-cheek:)

Bush says: "trust me... I know for a fact that this wolf will do an outstanding job guarding these sheep. Seriously. It's not just because the wolf is my business partner. He's completely qualified and his record is unblemished..."

Gosh, what a feeling of safety it gives to know the neocons are defending us.

At this point its a no-win situation for Bush. Backing out he loses, going forward (and a wmd or terrorist are smuggled in via the ports) he loses.

I think thats why its fish and cut bait.

WSC, keep in mind that when one deals with money in the United States one is pretty much talking about the same players over and over again. That's the reason all of these conspiracy kooks can run around acting like they are investigative reporters ("gotcha!") drawing connections between someone who is on some board of directors who is a past CEO who has an investment in a third party LLC whose mother is the majority stock holders--you get my point. Do you know that the same money laundering outfit that served Bush so well is the same one used for Clinton?

When one is dealing with business and money in this country you only have a few at the helm. I can almost hear them chuckling when they read these things about themselves. Comes from Americans ignorance about their own economics really...
